So people who are accidentally imaged without clear demyelinating symptoms who have neurofilaments and oligoclonal bands are note likely to transition to MS. So it says that by the time you are diagnosed you have B cells in the brain because you have oligoclonal bands and that you have nerve damage, from the beginning of MS. The nerve damage is not as great as the effect of the oligoclonal bands and is not surprising as the inflammatory response is what is going to drive new lesions.
Inflammation and nerve damage occur before you even know you have MS. So once you know you have MS, do something about it...don't wait and do nothing. Maintain your brain health
